Twozaic back in the market place, Direct Messages supported again.

posted Jul 9, 2011 9:51 AM by Bert Lagaisse

In the recent month, Twitter decided to break the developers' apps *AGAIN* by introducing additional security for apps that need access to the direct messages. Because this new security measure would break Twozaic, I pulled it from the market place. Now that the security measure is enforced at the Twitter server I was able to test the consequences, and updated some server settings to fix it. The app itself doesn't need an update, the user just needs to login again (in the settings screen, just click 'activate' again).

Media Control v1.1: update published

posted Nov 7, 2010 3:06 PM by Bert Lagaisse   [ updated Nov 16, 2010 6:40 AM ]

A very recent Windows Update to Windows 7 changes the windows button codes that are currently used by Media Control. We have submitted an update to the marketplace that deals with this issue.

UPDATE Nov 9: Virtual Remote Media Control v1.1 for Windows Phone 7 has been accepted to the marketplace. Still waiting for the WM6 acceptance.

UPDATE Nov 16: Virtual Remote Media Control v1.1 for Windows Mobile 6 has been published to the US marketplace. Other markets should follow soon, depending on Microsoft's current certification timing for Windows Mobile 6 app updates. WM6 updates seem to be lowest priority due to the Windows Phone 7 launch.

UPDATE Nov 17: v1.1 for WM6 is now also published to the UK marketplace. Australia and Canada are still in the certification waiting queue.

Troubleshooting ActiveSync over BlueTooth on Windows XP.

posted Aug 6, 2010 10:35 AM by Bert Lagaisse

As mentioned on a lot of Microsoft forums, some phones have problems with Microsoft's ActiveSync over BlueTooth on Windows XP. Most of those problems were solved in Windows Vista and Windows 7 with the Windows Mobile Device Center. I added some additional screenshots and Microsoft forum links to the Desktop Service manual to help you out.

Note that using the WiFi connection instead is preferable, as it is easier to set up, and is also faster than BlueTooth.
