Media Control for Windows Phone 7 Functionality overviewMedia Control converts your phone into a virtual remote for your Windows Media Center (also supporting Windows Media Player, iTunes, Media Player Classic and VLC). Over your WiFi network, you can control typical media functions such as play, pause, stop, next, previous, rewind, forward, and controlling the volume, including mute. You can launch Windows Media Center from your couch and put any media player in full screen. Use the D-pad arrows and OK button to browse your media files in supporting media players. This app needs the virtual remote desktop software that can be downloaded from www.virtual-remote.com/desktopservice Update history:v1.2: - Support for Media Player Classic

Supported players and functions
Depending on the kind of file you play, some functions might not work because the player's codec of the media type does not support it. However, the virtual remote will always send the function to the player anyway. The virtual remote uses the short-cuts (hotkeys) in the players to activate the functions. The generic media button profile uses the windows media buttons such as play, next, volume etc. This profile can control most of the functions of most media players, e.g. PowerDVD, Media Player, ... This is the list of shortcuts and hotkeys for each player that virtual remote will use for the functions that it supports.
